Well, , dear reader, if looking for a spot to live or move or transfer, you surely know where the Promised land is? A patch of desert or semi arid plain today, mostly called Israel.

But there is this special place on Earth where all the Myths and history and the “great Books” blatter, brag about in awe, as a final goal and aim of the whole christian Judaic civilization, a place of miracles and wonder (Paul Simon excerpt) where all big things happened and it is the cradle of the all things important and where milk and honey flow into a gutter, as they are so plentiful.

So, lets start to count the pros and cons on moving and transferring to the Promised Land. Wow , you say, how can we even think about the pros and cons when talking about such a place, the Promised Land? It is the closest thing to paradise on earth and it is a Blasphemy even to count the pros and cons!

The Promised land is mostly bleak and dull, not even a beautiful desert, like some outstanding parts of Sahara. It is dusty, yes and it is really hot and very boring.. You will need the air condition almost all year around and that comes with a cost. You will sweat many months as a pig. It is dry , no lakes, no real woods , grass plains, or streams worth of mention.
Apart from the Dead Sea which has its charm but as the name says it is Dead, and few short gorges in the Negev, they is really nothing worth of mentioning as a paradise.
And then, there is this wind; Khamsin. A HOT OPPRESSIVE DRY AND DUSTY WIND. Blowing for weeks! It is very well known for a suicide surges in this period, or by the nasty nervous reactions of the populace living there due to the oppressive feeling and everybody gets pretty nasty and has explosive emotional reactions when this oppressive wind blows, or they are all depressed.

The things will get much worse considering the climate disaster wise in the next 15 years, so you will have to plan carefully your living there which bears a big cost of your organizing your life in this dire conditions…

There are also problems with your neighbors. They are pretty violent and from time to time and lately very often, the palestinian inhabitants of the Promised land,Gaza excluded, dissapear at night or are involved in shootings with the promised land new ,or whatever you call them , this settlers.
This will bring your costs pretty high, concerning the safety measures you will have to consider.
As for the towns , they are middle east chaotic and mostly ugly conglomerates of various stages of decay urban-ism except the posh notch areas, all surrounded by top notch wall and surveillance and police and army and private guards and where settlers walk armed in broad daylight and there is even a curfew 24h, all this included, where the elected strata of people live but then in this areas the cost of living is even higher.
So, you have to take in count , if you chose to live in a countryside and thought it is like Spain or Tuscany, that the armed forces , police, shootings will be the norm. Not to mention the fences everywhere and road blocks and checks.

After considering this and including the overall pretty electrically charged if not explosive atmosphere and interaction between the current inhabitants with all types of violence and mayhem and similar characteristics of the Promised Land, here are also some cons:
There are a lot over a million or more of Russians which claim they are Jews. This definitely has a positive outcome: vodka is cheap!

The fashion and food is somewhere in the middle of the pros and cons. You will meet and see a lot of strangely dressed people, bearded ,with black hats and some hair resembling dreadlocks, but they are not Rastafari. Other men will have some cloth around the head. Last but not least, considering all pros and cons, desertification included, the IDEA of the Promised Land might be irresistible, whatever this place looks, feels and smells for real.

The slight difference between the brain dead west compared to the south or east is in the property rights. While the west is having almost absolute property rights, where property can be extended to all native DNA structure of the plants in your garden , forest, even the mechanisms of photosynthesis is patented as property right of some corporation and so all things alive or dead, the East and South work mostly on property claims. And the Transparency of all public acts and private property rights or claims , with the transparent money flow, debt free.

The Real Good comes in the next stage into existence when all actors involved are POWERLESS and can not do harm to each other.. Government and the ruling class included.

In this stage and in this way we have to think good not from the top down stages listed, but from the bottom stage. The whole tourist industry especially in Slovenia, in other EU big towns historic places, even by the sea side is based on majority of tourists visiting for 1 or 2 days. 3 days looks as a decent stay. 4 days are a small number of exceptions, 5 days are a miracle, 7 or 8 days are a sighting of Madonna or any Saint!
It was staggering, as Somebodies, when they decide to travel, stay for 3,4 5, 6 7, not Days, Weeks! Spending even less than this non persons all equal regardless of sex, religion, and wealth.

THE INTERMEDIATE CONCLUSION

The hordes of the new generations up to 40 years are traveling, not by bus or by train in this specific cases, but by car and maybe sometimes by overloaded public transport in the maddening heat. For a day or two here, day there two days somewhere. THE QUESTION OF GENTRIFICATION

APARTMENT – THE NON PLACE FOR NON PERSONS

Now, lets talk about the Owner; he is very watchful not to show the level of his own taste, so he restrains giving any sign of his own personality in furnishing the apartment. He restrains to the maximum. Because the show of his taste might be and is dangerous for the business! The tourists very likely might not book. Hi there, believers in household economics of living within your means.

As Witchdoctor knows, the household average IQ is definitely above 66. 67 will do for the case.
So, this facts are accessible to all the believers. Especially the Nobel prize and their followers economers, and all the bunch of thinthanks and the rest.
The last invention of family household economics is that people will work in Slovenia a day more, a working Saturday, and this money will go into the black hole of the climate disaster mending or whatever.
So, dear household, lets start with the chickens, and this fantastic idea is due as authors rights, to Witchlady: A farmer has to go early saturday into the hen pen and convince the chickens to lay a sixth more of the usual eggs for solidarity purposes.
The same goes for the cows: a sixth more of the milk .
As we all know, currently, apart from some creative accounting, the working week is 5 days. On the sixth day Slovenia will work for solidarity. So, to be really productive, this 16% a week bigger production will have to be sold. Mind, at the same price as the other 5 days production. So, if there is a demand on a monthly basis of 3% more goods at the same price then , apart for forcing chickens, cows, tomatoes and potatoes to give and grow more on Saturday, the thing may be useful. If the demand is weaker than the offer (production) there will be a worse effect: the goods will be sold at a lower price than they have it normally. So, to give in solidarity a day of the week production is, ha, a fine propaganda or a loss of income for the business.
The best fantastic case is the State Public Administration; they will finally start working, on Saturday! But, as you may know, this people are paid from the State Budget. So, the day they will “work” “more” which is yet to be proven scientifically in God knows which measurement mechanism , this day will be paid from the State budget and it will go by this loop with a loss of ( that is entropy) of a part of money paid for this “task”. So, the State will have to cover by taxes or by debt this “extra” working Saturday of the public administration from its own budget as a by pass channel invention.. Definitely it would have been more efficient, much more, if this money was transferred from the State budget directly to the people in need.
As for the energy producers, ha, will they produce a sixth more of energy at the same or even higher price?
Or the people will drive a sixth more and so consume a sixth more of the petrol?

By the way, nobody asked ONE QUESTION: Who for god sake gave the Slovenian Prime Minister the number of 500 hundred million as an estimate after the disaster? In fact, this stupid number , said by the PM, was echoed on CNN and all around the world as a cost of the disaster. Imagine how many people waved their hand, thinking that such a lousy small sum is really a no brainer and nothing to be preoccupied with.
Who gave Him this stupid Number? It was Him? Who made people think this idiocy in diminishing the cost of damage, and more important, aimed to diminish the real cost to be invested in repair? Who is the chief accountant in this Household selling this neoliberal bollocks? The result of this stupid small number is obvious; the others involved from EU to any EU institution will give only a small change for the reconstruction.
Witchdoctor is waiting. Who did it, it was deliberate, or do we expect from the Slovenian PM who was on top , the manager of the biggest energy corp in Slovenia to make this incredible assumptions when counting the costs?
Because the cost are around 5 billion euros, not 5 hundred millions and this costs are dynamically rising by each day of lost bdp and people living in worse than austerity household situation.
Do you want to live within your means in the situation of the climate disaster? OK, then wait for the next one coming.

Yes this ECB interest rate is what ALL of YOU are in favor! Because you are all believers of the household economimics of living within your means!
But, as you know the Slovenian banks give currently ZERO interest on savings in front of the ECB rate and 8% bank loan consumer rates, so household speaking, you will empty their pockets by diverting savings into bonds ( AND YOU KNOW THAT, that is why you are so shy) and puff, the bad banks npf will be on the rise.
Or, establish a SPV ( special purpose vehicle) financed by you underutilized SID public bank lead by he best neoliberals in Slovenia haha, and start giving money to the business, people, for infrastructure and houses and do not use by law the property rights and so make a virtual nominal assets on the SPV books without having the decision power on private property and at the same time build a huge public accounting assets which can be rolled on as a further stock of investment.

Exit the EURO. Or, try to convince your household pals out there to change the rules of the treaty. Unfortunately, just lately, Slovenia has supported to most harsh back to the “fiscal” compact rules timetable starting in 2024.
